The Photographer
About the Artist
“In the blink of an eye at a moment in time, never to be the same again”
Michael began his journey into photography while volunteering with the United States Forest Service maintaining trails in the wilderness areas of Georgia. At first his photography focused on wildflowers, but soon evolved to encompass nature photography and travel photography. He is currently based in Cumming, Georgia.
Michael uses both Nikon DSLR cameras as well as Sony mirrorless cameras to capture his images. With the exception of prints on metal, Michael prints, mats and frames his photography himself utilizing professional photographic papers and archival inks to ensure the highest quality product.
His passion is capturing the beauty in nature and the world around us. Michael’s keen eye helps him focus on things that others might overlook. By capturing these unique moments and images in his art, he is able to share these photographs with the public. His greatest wish is for you to enjoy each of his images in hopes that it evokes the feelings and emotions of a place and time.
Michael is currently a member of and involved in several photographic societies in the Atlanta area. His works have been exhibited in Vermont at the Photo Place Gallery, in Georgia at the Bowen Arts Center, the Cumming Arts Center, the Johns Creek Arts Center, the Roswell Visual Arts Center, the Allen Ashton Gallery among other galleries in the Southeast. Michael’s photography has earned him numerous awards over the years.
